Christmas and Almond Bars

I am so excited for Christmas. For Christmas we are going to are Grandmas and Grandpas house with our cousins. We got out of school on Friday so we have been baking a ton. Is there anyone else who likes to bake? I am ready for Christmas. I finally have finished getting gifts for my sisters. Every year we draw names and whosever name you get you buy them a present of two.(We only do it for us three bigger ones. Leah, Elizabeth, and me.) Then we all buy gifts for Naomi and Hannah. Our parents also get us gifts.

Almond Bars:

1 cup almond paste
1 cup butter
1 +1/2 cups of sugar(white)
2 eggs
1/2 of teaspoon of salt
2 cups of flour

Heat the oven to 300 degrees. Then cream the almond paste and butter. Then beat in the sugar and eggs until fluffy. mix the flour and salt together in another bowl. Then fold the flour and the salt into the batter. Pour into greased 9x13 pan and bake for 40 minutes. Let cool off 10 minutes. ENJOY!!!!!

Makes 36 little squares. These freeze well and can be kept in the freezer for 3 months.
