Christmas and Almond Bars

I am so excited for Christmas. For Christmas we are going to are Grandmas and Grandpas house with our cousins. We got out of school on Friday so we have been baking a ton. Is there anyone else who likes to bake? I am ready for Christmas. I finally have finished getting gifts for my sisters. Every year we draw names and whosever name you get you buy them a present of two.(We only do it for us three bigger ones. Leah, Elizabeth, and me.) Then we all buy gifts for Naomi and Hannah. Our parents also get us gifts.

Almond Bars:

1 cup almond paste
1 cup butter
1 +1/2 cups of sugar(white)
2 eggs
1/2 of teaspoon of salt
2 cups of flour

Heat the oven to 300 degrees. Then cream the almond paste and butter. Then beat in the sugar and eggs until fluffy. mix the flour and salt together in another bowl. Then fold the flour and the salt into the batter. Pour into greased 9x13 pan and bake for 40 minutes. Let cool off 10 minutes. ENJOY!!!!!

Makes 36 little squares. These freeze well and can be kept in the freezer for 3 months.

Hope you have a very merry Christmas.

No More School and A Prayer Requst

I am sooooo excited that we do not have to do school. We have been baking a ton and just hanging out. It has been so much fun. I like reading a lot and I have been to read a lot over this time.

The Prayer Request. It is for my sister Elizabeth and her fellow cast members. She is in the Musical Meet Me In St. Louis. Last night she told me that if i could pray for her today and every other Tuesday except for this coming Tuesday. and her friends that would be great because it is becoming very long at practices and very hard. The Play that she is in is going to be in January. For more info about the play you can click HERE and go to her blog She hasen't posted yet about it put if you comment she will give you the info.

Rocky Road Fudge

I am going to try to post every other day. I hope that it will happen.
So about the Fudge. This is an easy recipe that is very yummy and quick. I like recipes that are easy, quick, and yummy. I made some tonight.

Rocky Road Fudge:
12 ounces or 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips
1 cup of peanut butter- creamy or crunchy
2 cups of mini marshmallows

Takes 10-15 min to make.(not including letting sit in fridge.) First melt the chocolate chips until they are not bumpy. Then stir in the peanut butter. After the peanut butter is mixed in add the marshmallows. Then put in a 9 x 9 pan. Put in the Fridge for 10- 15 minutes. Then Enjoy!!!
If you are making this in advance you can keep in the fridge as long as you need to.

Peanut Free: Instead of putting in peanut butter you can put in Rice Krispies and make the fudge peanut free.

I will try to post some pictures later.
