On Friday night, we went to see our good friends, the Regans. Long story short, we ended up borrowing their ice cream maker over the weekend. (Thanks so much Regans!) We made our first batch of ice cream on Sunday evening (vanilla.) We tried it, and it was the best ice cream we had ever tasted! (Especially to Abby and I because we are sensitive to dairy and have to have soy ice cream.) The vanilla ice cream was supposed to make 14 half cup servings and we probably have somewhere between 2 and 10 left. We actually liked the ice cream so much that we ended up making a second batch Monday afternoon(chocolate.) As an example of how much we liked the ice cream, we finished the chocolate on Wednesday (Isn't it amazing!) Anyhow, we really enjoyed the ice cream... THANKS SO MUCH REGANS!!!!

It was soooo delicious!!!
So glad that you enjoyed the ice cream maker - There are many different flavors to try:)
Does your Mom have the Nourishing Tradtions book? If so, there's a page in there that tells you all about ice cream from the store and how bad that is, the chemicals that they use etc...so the home-made ice cream must be pretty good for us lol!
Have a great Sunday:)
